Health Care Debate Countinues

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has plans to challenge the new regulations under the health-care reform legislation. The organization also plans to attempt to unseat the members of congress who voted in favor of the law. This comes as several of the nation’s corporations have announced heavy charges they will have to take due to increased costs associated with the law.
The Chamber’s chief executive, Thomas Donohue, said the organization will move to have changes made to the law to minimize the “harmful impacts” on members. He also said the Chamber has plans to spend $50 million over the summer and next fall to impact the upcoming elections.
