Rep. Fitzpatrick Spotlighted in Chamber of Commerce Ad

Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-08) has been chosen as one of 20 elected officials to appear in pro-business advertisements sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce. He was the only Pa. Representative chosen to be spotlighted by the Chamber.

The Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of more than three million businesses of various sizes and sectors in Washington, DC, making it the world’s largest business lobbying organization.
“We’re engaging earlier and more aggressively than ever to educate constituents about which leaders recognize the role free enterprise plays in leading our economic recovery,” said Thomas Donahue, president and CEO of the US Chamber.“The US Chamber of Commerce is launching a television and grassroots blitz in 12 House and 8 Senate races today.  This is the earliest and most aggressive the [Chamber] has ever raised its voice in an election year.”

“It comes down to a simple question: Is big government or free enterprise the solution to our country’s economic problems?”

In the 34-second advertisement entitled “Mike Fitzpatrick – Protecting Pennsylvania Jobs,” Rep. Fitzpatrick’s campaign asserts that it is in fact free enterprise that will ultimately prove to be the key to lifting the American economy from recession.

The ad suggested that Fitzpatrick intends to protect jobs by undertaking efforts to repeal Obamacare and curb the influence of “big government.”

The endorsement by the Chamber of Commerce comes after Rep. Fitzpatrick’s democratic opponent, Kathryn Boockvar received the endorsement of Emily’s List, giving her access to millions of dollars in fundraising.
