bring transportation system into the 21st century
Scott Tisthammer
I just sent an email tothe Chamber of Commerce about an idea I have to create jobs, generate $ for roads, education, reduce miles driven by big trucks, reduce fuel used, reduce dependency on foreign oil, reduce accidents, create jobs, & much more.
I need the Chamber memebers in order to get this done. Can I count on the members in doing this while cutting their transportation costs?
The national averge a broker makes on their margin is 18%. I can show members, shippers how to save half of that 18%, 9% on every load moved & at the same time pay motor carriers 9% so they remmain solvent, maintain trucks, reduce accidnets, insurance costs.
According to FMCSA records, www.justice.org/violationsdatabase there are over 28,200mtor carriers with 200,000 trucks on our beat uo infrastucture, 4000 American killed & 80,000 injured every year.
There are billion sof $ wasted every year because we're running our trnsportation system on a 1980s model & I can show members & motor carriers how to bring the system into the 21st century.
I need the members & Chamber to get this done, I'm working on a web site, need to sriet a program to get it done but there is no point in moving ahead unless I believe I can count on the support of members willing to save money, lives, promote sfaety, generate $ for roads, education, & much more.
