Anyone out there increase their chamber membership in the last couple of years? How did you do it? What successful events do you have. How do you work on membership retention?

Having the latest local economic and statistical data posted to the Chamber's web site is probably essential to any community.

My rural area local chamber wants contractors "who won't gouge".
I interpret that to mean:will accept cash under the table, use illegal labor,operate below the radar and generally operate below actual cost of doing legal and ethical business.That wouldn't be me.
