Established in 1963, we are in our 49th year of providing Contract, Residential, Commercial, and 24-hour Plumbing, Electrical, and Air Conditioning services to the entire Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We provide commercial/ residential service work in all three areas. All of our in the field employees are primarily licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and the Texas Department of Licensing Board (Electricians) with some additional licensed as air conditioning technicians by the Texas Department of Licensing Board.
We are a very small company that has a huge diversity of talents. Our biggest uniqueness and asset is the dedication, diversification, and abilities of the principals of our company. Mr. Hamilton, President and Founder, still active in the business. General Manager, Don Wiley, has been with the company 42 years and holds Master licenses for all three trades. Office Manager, Thea Hamilton Wiley, has been with the company 49 years (starting with her father, Joe Hamilton). In building the business, these individuals have provided hands-on expertise and continued self-education to meet demands of the work environment that they have passed on to several generations. We actually have or have had children and grandchildren of employees in our employ.
We are proud of our involvement in many professional oganizations--American General Contractors; Plumbing Heating Air Conditioner Contractors of America; Better Business Bureau; American Sub-Contractors of America. Our company financially sponsors all employees and/or family members participation in local organizations. We are proud to count among our sponsorships many Chess Champions, Football, Soccer, Basketball, Cheer Squad, and Tennis stars, and Science Fair award winners. In addition to these sponsorships, we contribute, financially and in-kind, to the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank, Salvation Army, Red Cross and the Ronald McDonald House.
As a member of Associated General Contractors for over 44 years, our involvement and commitment to the business community has been rewarded by being named as the "Electrical Contractor of the Year" and "Plumbing Contractor of the Year." We have also been selected several times as the "Best Plumber" by the reading membership of the local newspaper Valley Morning Star. In April, 2012, we were selected as the winner of the South Texas Better Business Bureau 'Mary G. Moad Ethics Award'-- the first selected in the Rio Grande Valley to receive this award. We are dedicated to the betterment of the construction industry and community of the Rio Grande Valley.
We have survived depressions, enjoyed successful times, and provided employment to at least 1,500 persons over the 49 years of business. Having never missed a weekly payroll to our employees, we understand our company responsibilities, along with the necessity of being a business that has integrity and commitment to customer service and employees. To know that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren see our footprints in buildings across the Rio Grande Valley is our greatest reward.
