Wyatt Technology was founded in 1982 by Philip Wyatt on the strength of a $50,000 Small Business Innovative Research Grant (SBIR). Joined by his oldest son Geof, in 1983, and later by his son Cliff in the mid-1990's, Wyatt Technology has become the world leader in laser-based instruments for biotechnology and pharmaceutical applications of proteins, polymers and nano-particles in solution.
Located in Santa Barbara, CA, Wyatt Technology has grown from a one-man shop to a company of over 100. Providing high value-added manufacturing jobs has been one of the great outcomes of the Corporation. Wyatt believes in delighting its customers, but in order to do that you need employees who believe in the mission.
The Corporation is fortunate to have won, for the fourth consecutive year, one of the best places to work in science by The Scientist magazine. Wyatt Technology has more than 30,000 square feet of modern manufacturing and laboratory space in Santa Barbara, as well as a demonstration lab outside Boston, MA.
