If you are subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act FLSA, you will also have to display a poster created by the federal government in your workplace, publicizing the federal minimum-wage and overtime-pay standards.
Where should you put the poster? You should make sure that employees see the poster as they come and go from work. Any person who willfully violates any of the provisions of the FLSA, including failure to post, is subject to a fine and/or imprisonment.
|
Where can you get the poster? The poster can be obtained from your local Wage and Hour Division office. Check the Department of Labor website for the Wage and Hour Office nearest you. Posters are also available from the Department of Labor's poster center.
State Law
Individual states may also have posting requirements that you'll have to comply with. Click on your state on the map below to find out what your state's posting requirements are. The states that are blue are those that do not have posting requirements.
