Getting the Money to Employees

Getting the money into the employees' hands is only a small part of doing payroll that takes place only after you've set a up a program, calculated your employee's hours and regular rate, and made necessary deductions.

Once all that has been done, you can actually give the money to your employees, by cash, check, or electronic deposit. Before you do that, though, consider:

• whether you want to use direct deposit
• what other information should accompany the payment
• rules to adopt in distributing pay to employees
