• Ponzi Schemes -- A Ponzi scheme is a pyramid-type of fraud based on the "rob Peter to pay Paul" method.
• Pump & Dump -- Pump and dump is a catchy handle for artificially pumping up the price of a security and then dumping your own low cost shares at a huge profit.
• Securities Frauds -- Remember Gordon Gekko in the movie Wallstreet? To be sure, there are many slick manipulators of stocks like him, but don't discount the common con man fraudster types who operate scams around us every day.
