Conducting Criminal Record Checks in Montana
Criminal records checks are required for employment in facilities caring for the elderly and the developmentally disabled and for teachers before being hired to work in Montana schools.
Applicants for licensing as security companies, security guards, and private investigators must submit evidence under oath of not being convicted of certain crimes, not suffering from habitual drunkenness or drug dependence and of being of good moral character. The license application must also include two sets of fingerprints.
