Small Business Nation. A Project of The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Content, Content, Content

The best websites offer the best content. Yours should be frequently updated—relevant to the world your customers live and work in—and authentic. Think: what do I like to read, watch or listen to? One tip to consider: You probably don’t like to read blatant sales pitches or bland, canned marketing-speak. If this is true, don’t create more of it. Instead, tell your site visitors a story: Here’s what I learned in business today; here’s who we helped today; here’s a great idea I’ll never try again.

While all of these content ideas are great, they’re also generated by you. Another great way to get content is to let your website visitors create it themselves. Give them a mechanism to share their product reviews, responses, videos or photos and they’ll love you for it.

iwsIWS has helped businesses of all sizes and industries build dynamic, cost-effective websites. Visit www.workwithiws.com today for more information. Every U.S. Chamber of Commerce referral gets a free web services estimate.
